Our Inspiration
The Yoga Wellness Center (YWC), Bangalore, was established in 2012 with the blessings of Swami Satyasangananda Saraswati (Peethadhishwari of Rikhiapeeth). Swami Satyasangananda Saraswati has named Yoga Centre as “YOGA WELLNESS CENTER”.
Yoga Wellness Center continues to follow the inspiration Satyananda Yoga Tradition. Satyananda Yoga is a living tradition based on the vision of two masters, Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati and Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati. Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati was the first personality in the twentieth century to emphasize that divine life is everyone’s birthright and could be practiced in simple way in the normal social environment. He introduced the concept of integral yoga including hatha yoga, raja yoga, jnana yoga, karma yoga, bhakti yoga, and kriya yoga for harmonious development of personality incorporating a practical philosophy and holistic lifestyle.

Our Guru and inspirer, Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati was given the mandate of taking yoga ‘from door to door and from shore to shore’ from his Guru Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati. He simplified and systematized the yogic practices, and the same time added depth to every dimension of yoga. Sri Swami Satyananda taught yoga in practically every country around the world. He found total acceptance everywhere due to his simple approach and universality.
Swami Satyananda’s disciple and spiritual successor Sri Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati has built up and consolidated this foundation of yoga. Sri Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati, has effectively maintained the Guru parampara and imparted fresh energy to the yogic movement by emphasizing on living yoga from moment to moment. He continues to be a beacon of light and hope for all yoga aspirants.​

How one person experiences Satyananda yoga system will be different from another’s, because the yoga practices depend on each person’s individual needs and requirements – whether physical, mental or spiritual. This Satyananda Yoga system actively works to create and maintain a balance between the body and the mind. It allows for aspirants to rediscover themselves in yoga, improving on those aspects of life they wish to improve, without any drastic lifestyle change.

1) 200 Hours YCB Level 1 (Yoga Protocol Instructor)
Duration: 3 Months

2) 800 Hours YCB Yoga Therapist
Duration: 7 Months + 2 Months (Examination Preparation)+ 2 Months (Complementary practice Class)

Regular Hatha Yoga Classes - 6 am, 7.10 am and 6.30 am (Monday and Friday)

Meditation for January 2025 (Every Saturday 7 - 9am) - Antar Mouna & Yoga Nidra​
