In the corporate world, stress is an inescapable reality. It is also the primary cause for hundreds of ailments - several of which, are fatal.

What’s scary about it is that it creeps up on you, disguised as innumerable other things. In fact, you may even think that you’ve gotten used to it and are immune to its effects. But the truth is that your body is, even then, in an accelerated mode fixed at ‘flight or fight’, burning away your body’s resources faster than it can recover them. This can cause everything from cognitive and emotional problems to physical and behavioural problems – all of which affect your work and your relationship with your clients, employees, friends and family.

Yoga understands the delicate intertwining of stress and work relations in the corporate world. It is a holistic approach to calm and harmonize the relationship between the body and the mind, and works to create a balance between the two.

We at the Yoga Wellness Center share a deep commitment to both the practice, as well as the teaching of yoga. Our comprehensive system is based on the teachings of the Satyananda Yoga Tradition, and allows for each student to have a well rounded idea about yoga.

The tradition integrates yoga into all aspects of the practitioner’s life, helping to improve on each aspect and its experience. Students of Satyananda yoga benefit from its diverse nature because it suits people of all ages and backgrounds. And each student experiences it differently, because it is uniquely tailored to meet their every need and requirement.

Many branches of yoga are incorporated into this system, with disciplines from Hatha yoga, Raja Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Yoga Nidra being integrated in the practices.

The Yoga Wellness Center is unique in that it uses the spirituality and tradition of yoga in a contemporary manner. It gives the practice of yoga, a fresh, dynamic feel so that the spiritual path resonates with modern living.

Classes with YWC

Classes by the YWC are conducted at the company’s place of choice. This may be in a conference hall or gym at the company itself, or at a place of commonality for the aspirants.

Types of classes may be specified according to the needs of the aspirants and participants, as predefined by the employees themselves or by the company prior to the commencement of classes.

Classes are held from the beginners’ level to ensure that all those participating in the experience do not feel left out, or practice something for which they have no base.
