About Us

The Yoga Wellness Center strives to provide an environment where people can experience the phenomenon that is Yoga. At YWC, prospective Yogis and Yoginis have the chance to regularly practice and learn yoga under the guidance of a certified Yoga expert. Aspirants are exposed to a personalised version of yoga that is especially tailored to suit their individual needs.

Everything that is taught and practiced at the YWC is true to the Satyananda Yoga Tradition (also known as the Bihar School of Yoga Tradition) established by Swami Satyananda Saraswati. This is an integral, holistic yoga tradition in that it incorporates the best of several disciplines of Yoga, so that the aspirant experiences the best that Yoga has to offer.

Resources and Classes

The YWC has been specially designed to meet every need and requirement of the modern yoga aspirant. It offers everything from yoga classes designed for the young and the old, to classes for the expecting mother. Classes are allotted to aspirants based on an interview that serves to judge the best yoga practices for the individual, and the best way to carry it out. Following the initiation of the classes, yoga aspirants are counselled to ensure that they receive the best that Satyananda Yoga can offer them.

In addition to the courses taught at the center, separate Saturday Evening Meditation gatherings, Workshops and Retreats and Yoga Trips are available, to provide a truly wholesome experience in yoga.

In addition to all this, YWC also offers Ayurvedic Consultations, and has its very own Wellness Shop, so that everything the aspirant could possibly require is easily available at the center.

The Yoga Wellness Center (YWC), Bangalore, was established by the brothers Raj, and Chandra (Devatma) Kamal in 2012. Both the Kamal brothers received higher education at the Bihar Yoga Bharti, the world’s first Yoga University, and continued to teach yoga all around Bangalore, for the last 8years. They are both fully trained yoga masters, who are adept and knowledgeable teachers in yoga.
